Buena Park, CA – The most famous name in custom wheels, American Racing, has introduced the ATX Baja-HD wheel specifically for the hard-working vocational truck market. As with all ATX wheels, the Baja-HD is manufactured from the highest quality forged 6061 aluminum alloy available to handle the industry’s highest load limits.
“Our new ATX Baja-HD represents a real advance in wheel technology,” said Dan Ricehouse of American Racing Custom Wheels. “It gives big rig owners and operators an opportunity to show off their style and support their brand with wheels built for safety and function without breaking the bank.”
The new ATX Baja-HD will be showcased at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville, KY, Booth 12077, March 22-24.
ATX wheels feature unprecedented attention to detail and the Baja-HD is no exception, featuring a bold, aggressive design and ATX’s unique, patented center caps. “Traditional big rig wheel center cap are snap-in and made from cheap tin metal,” added Ricehouse, “which usually means they will dent, rust or fall off completely if you hit a pothole or bridge transition. Ours are made from a heavy-duty composite material and attach with four easy-to-access allen bolts. They’re resistant to road grime and countless washes and easy to service with an aggressive look that really stands out.“
The high gloss black Baja-HD is one of five specialty ATX wheels now being offered by American Racing, joining the standard, high luster double-sided polish Baja, and the Octane, Indy and Roulette series available in either satin black/milled or high luster double-sided polish finishes. ATX Wheels can also be manufactured with a custom color finish to complement truck or trailer graphics and/or company colors.
‘Built For The Long Haul,’ ATX Baja-HD wheels come in 22.5 X 8.25, 22.5 X 9.0, 22.5 X 12.25 and 24.5 X 8.25 sizes to fit almost any and all semi’s and vocational trucks. They provide the commercial transportation industry with a means to upgrade their big rig wheels the same way automobile, SUV, and light truck owners have been doing for years.
The new Baja-HD series is the latest offering from American Racing Custom Wheels, the industry leader since 1956. Founded as a manufacturer of magnesium and aluminum racing wheels, the company dates back to the golden age of hot rodding, NHRA and sports car competition, when it developed a reputation for craftsmanship, advanced engineering, innovation, and performance. American Racing soon became known internationally after the release of the movie Bullitt starring Steve McQueen and a now-famous 1968 Ford Mustang with Torq Thrust cast aluminum wheels.
American Racing is part of the Wheel Pros company, which markets its products in more than 20 countries on four different continents and throughout the United States. With more than 25,000 authorized dealers in America, Wheel Pros is one of the world’s largest suppliers of branded custom wheels, performance tires and related accessories for cars, SUVs, light and heavy-duty trucks.
